Default So.. How good is Menzerna's Super Intensive Polish?

Let me break it down for you.

Subject: 1996 BMW 328i - Black

Condition of subject: Crappy. This car has been through numerous automatic car washes and has seen the nasty side of the brush at the wash bays on numerous occassions. It's almost a candidate for wet sanding. Enter Menzerna's Super Intensive Polish.

Average Work time per panel: About 1 pass per panel... as opposed to Menzerna's Intensive Polish which usually requires 2 passes. This product dries up quickly, but the work time is significantly shortened. I shaved about 1-2 hrs off my time. Which to me, is well worth the price.

Tools: Makita rotary and Classic Motoring Yellow cutting pad and White light polishing pad and Adam's pad cleaning brush/spur brush

Best usage: Keep the product wet. This stuff dries up really fast. IP has a longer working period and for those that use IP with a high speed rotary, that's not long at all. After a panel, I cleaned the pad out with the spur brush to dust it off. You'll still get dust over the car, but not keeping the pad wet and clean will create dust.. exponentially.

Follow up: All that's left behind (for this subject) is buffer swirls, which I polished out with a Classic Motoring White pad (fine polishing pad) and Menzerna PO106FF. I guess I could have used Final Polish II or PO85RD 22992, but I wanted something with a bit more bite to reduce work time polishing out buffer swirls.

...now the pics

Default So basically I should just hand over my wallet to Phil for the entire ceramiclear line?

Bought the PO106FF from him . . . . loved it.
Have the PO85RD on order from him . . . .
Now I'm tempted to pick this up as well just to complete the collection :-)

The money conscious guy in me asks myself why I didn't just get the entire Optimum polish line for $50? Who knows.

Default Have you considered adding RMG to your menzerna polishes to help with the dusting?

I do about 25% RMG, mixed on the pad. I get virtually no dusting and it hasn't noticably affected the polishing ability at all.
