Temporary scratch covering?

I put a scratch in my tailgate, and it's down to the metal. I ordered touch-up paint from the dealer. What can I cover the scratch with to keep it from rusting, while I wait for the paint?

Stick a piece of vinyl wrap to cover it temporarily? Best of luck on the touch up paint when it arrives.

For touch up paint Dr. Colorchip is one of the better blending options over OEM sticks. Good luck and sorry to hear about the scratch.

I still haven't received the touch up paint. Audi told me there is a shortage 🙄

But the body wrap I put over the scratch is working great. Thanks for the tip!
