Are the zinc rotors worth it? I know a bit less track performance but less prone to rusting. Can anyone confirm this?
I will most likely go with slotted rotors for tracking, even thought i prefer the look of the drilled...Though i don't do events that often.
Also, i know there have been reports of cracking rotor hats and there are a few different hats circulating do all current brake kits have the newest design?

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2664730.phtml</a

As for the Zinc coating. The Zinc coating on the braking surface will wear off as you bed the pads. But the zinc coating will remain in place on the vains and the outside of the rotor. I did not opt for the zinc coating and i do see rust on the inside of the vains and the outside of the rotor. Oh well. The face of the rotor will still rust.
Cracking rotor hats? I am not to concerned about that.
