I plan to go with red calipers, and it seems that some have had problems with fadding calipers while others haven't...
Are the zinc rotors worth it? I know a bit less track performance but less prone to rusting. Can anyone confirm this?
I will most likely go with slotted rotors for tracking, even thought i prefer the look of the drilled...Though i don't do events that often.

will the red turn brown? maybe it seems to happen on cars that where the caliper is heat cycled alot at the track. My black stoptechs w/ white lettering have turned a little. The white lettering is now gold from being heat cycled. but i don't really care. The cars i have seen with red and silver calipers that are actually tracked have had the paint turn goldish/bronze.
As for the Zinc coating. The Zinc coating on the braking surface will wear off as you bed the pads. But the zinc coating will remain in place on the vains and the outside of the rotor. I did not opt for the zinc coating and i do see rust on the inside of the vains and the outside of the rotor. Oh well. The face of the rotor will still rust.

Anyone track with drilled rotors?
Or do an occasional event or so with them? I know they won't hold up well if you spent tons of time tracking the car and the brakes are constantly seeing the high range heat cycles. But if you only do 2 to 3 events a year would they be good enough where i wouldn't have to be overly concerned about them cracking? TIA ;-)
