tell-tale signs.....
Top photo - front bumper damaged
2nd photo - bumper alignment
- hood alignment - doesn't align properly with fender on driver's side
- both lights extend slightly from fender, should be flush
3rd photo - gap between bumper and fender (by wheelwell. This is not on other side.
I suspect front end damage causing replacement of hood, both headlights and bumper. Probably took out radiator and power steering pump as well. You'll probably find some "not so dirty" bits under the hood.
Then you have to ask yourself how it sustained damage to the rear as well.
Quick trick - run your finger around the edge of the doors of your "non-wrecked" A8 - everything is nice and smooth. then run your fingers down the same area as well as the area around the back of the hood (where it meets the windshield - I'll bet the paint is rough there.
Also - are all the stickers on the inside of the hood? Look at a comparable model at a dealer.
