I am goint to chip my A4 1.8T i need to nkow what type of BPV to get and where to get it.

Default I still don't understand why all the A4 guys run those...

TTers can't WAIT to get that goddamned 710N out of their car. What's different about the A4 engine that makes these things so desireable.

Also, anyone want to buy a very slightly used (<1000 miles) OEM 710N? lol

I don't have an A4, I have a TT... so their advice is definitely better than mine. It's just weird to me - the 710N has a terrible reputation amongst the TT crowd - it's ALWAYS the first thing people mod, whether it's broken or not. I haven't ever heard a reason WHY the A4 crowd always recommends the TT throwaways. I'm sure there IS a good reason - I've just never heard it.

FWIW, I've got a Hyperboost from Stratmosphere on my 225TT. I've had no problems with it whatsoever. They have a new one out which is supposed to be a little better, but I don't have any experience with it. I also know people who run the Forge valves, Bailey valves, GReddy valves, GFB valves, etc. Most of them are good... The 710N is just prone to failure in the 225TTs for some reason.

The DV/BPV is one of those things that really doesn't provide any noticeable gains/performance differences - except if it's broken. If it's not working, they're all <i>pretty much</i> the same.

They seem to run fine a Stage III S4 I know at 19psi boost. part # is 06A145710N

Default Well, I've seen people go through them like popcorn...

But so far, mine has been on for ~5k and it's doing fine.
