key fob program?

so i just replaced the batteries in my '02 audi tt key fob and my lock, unlock, and trunk buttons no longer work.. but i can start the car... i have seen some diy's talking about a code or using a valet key but i have neither. Is there a way i can fix this or do i have to go to a dealer?

nevermind... just use the key to lock and unlock the drivers side door

First you need two keys

one key in ignition, turn car on(lights in dash on, do not start car). get out of car and shut door. 2nd key in lock, lock door. push lock button. lights on car should flash. wait ten seconds. hit unlock button. 2nd key might need reprogramming also. to set second key, switch keys from ignition to door lock, and when you hit door lock, hit door lock button twice on second remote, lights should flash twice. you are done!

thats what i was reading too...

worst part is i was low on fuel and couldnt pop my fuel door since the car was last locked with my fob... for the heck of it i put the key into the drivers side door, locked the car.. unclocked it.. and presto.. now it works fine =)

Thanks tho, but i dont even know where i would have gotten a second key =p
