MAF Problem?!
Hey everybody, I was wondering if you can help me on this one? My check engine light went on and my car has a rough idle and it lacks power. In fact the power delivery is horrible, it feels like there is something in the way and you just can't accelerate fast enough to keep up with the traffic. I scaned the computer and it said "maximum boost exeeded" my mechanic suggests it could be MAF. Is it MAF, cause if it is that great. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean? My local dealer spent 2 hours doing diagnostics on my car and didn't find anything solid. They said MAF is not communicating well with ECM. What does that mean?

It means you can either trust their diagnosis and replace what they said, or...
Maybe find another shop. There is no way to tell you exactly what is wrong with your car via the internet. It's not going to happen, not with any accuracy anyway.

I just picked up the car from the dealer. got the diagnostics and they said the same thing, to be exact there is no voltage on one of the pins from the MAF going to the ECM. However when i pick it up today the car drives different then it did before, it doesn't die when cold and accelerates smoother but still no power delivery. Technician said he put the throttle body boot diffrently, he clamped it diffrentely. I will try to replace it and see what happens.
