2011 Rolex 24
I am serious thinking about attending the Rolex 24 for the first time. Any recommendations, where to stay, where to watch from, what to bring for clothing, other do's & don't are appreciated.

Bring all weather clothes, including winter wear. I have been there several times and needed winter jackets.
Perhaps think of staying IN the track as it IS a 24 hour race.
Watching from anywhere is where you want to be....what I mean is, in 24 hours you want to cover the grounds several times over. The track is really straight forward. Best place to hang is at 2:30 in the morning, the empty front straight. The sounds are enjoyable. Opinion on: the ugly DP cars look better at night too. The horseshoe curve is good for dive bomb passing, and for sure watch the pit stops or repairs needed during the race.
Have fun and stay warm.
