A3 Cold air intake
I'm about to install a k&n cold air intake on my 2012 a3. A friend of mine says that it could affect the life or long term performance of my engine after installing if its running to "lean"? After installing the intake do I have to take it to someone to tune it to regulate the cold air coming in? I won't be able to buy a cat back exhaust for a while to counter the intake and I don't want to ruin my engine. Any feedback on what to do would be appreciated.

Independent reviews I have seen on K&N intake systems show they pass more dirt which will coat the MAF on the car. All tests indicate that the stock intake system is optimized for performance. If you have a turbo car you will get more performance out of a exhaust system.
