Default Board format.

I dont know if this is new suggestion but wouldnt it be ALOT easier if the forum moved new replies to threads to the top, and not jsut the new threads? It seems like a bunch of replies get lost especially with the number of new threads posted. just my opinion

Default Just track the threads you are interested in.

That should solve your problem.

IMO, you just end up with a bunch of crap on the top that you don't want to see.

I never understood bubbling posts to the top like you suggest. You say that it is to make sure everyone sees the post. But by moving a recently replied to post to the top, you are displacing a more recently posted post...one that may or may not be more interesting to everyone. So you are doing the exact thing that you were trying to avoid in the first place (people missing posts).

All you have to do to make sure you see all of the posts is click on the top one before you leave AW. This should change the link color. Now you know where to start when you come back.

Default Exactly, it skews the weighting of views significantly

You'll get some threads that everyone sees and some threads that no one sees.

Especially on forums, like ours, that has lots of traffic. Many of the forums here receive a couple pages worth of new threads per day.

That's not to say that the current thread tracking is ideal, but it's better than bump to top.
