Default Change the software.

Love the forum, hate the forums software.
1) Forum threads that are active should be automatically moved to the top as they are added to. Granted a lot of the posts that are just blathering about how sunny it was that morning would 'also' go up, this would still be preferable when trying to keep track of group buys..etc.. or serious threads you are interested in.
2) Going to a link off a thread, and then hitting 'back' sends you to the home of audiworld.. Sucks hard. If you do not remember the page you were on you have to search for it again.
3) Hitting 'refresh' on a page will also send you back to home unless you do a right click, refresh.

Default Only one of those is related to the forum software

2 and 3 are just related to the fact we use frames (right now atleast).

As far as your first comment, I suggest you read up on the thread tracking feature we have. Look in the forum FAQ for more information.

Default #1. This forum has thread tracking functionality.

Much better than the having them automatically go to the top.

Default Since you asked so nicely, I'm sure they'll get right on that...

Most of the members here love this format. Give it a chance, maybe it will grow on you.

Default Damn, I thought I was the only one.. switch to VBulletin!

the Vortex, DTMpower.net, and many others have. I love Audiworld.com, but the software is way outdated!

Default with VBulletin you can search for threads created by a certain username.

Much more functional than thread tracking IMHO.

Searching based on a user name can be done here as well.

Default outdated? lol I thnk you have which is outdated switched around . . .

VBulletin and UBB and the rest of those types of software packages are the outdated ones. This is the only forum software around that doesn't have all of the crap rise to the top as all of the other do. Here you determine what you want to be at the top. If you don't want a thread at the top, just untrack it. Very simple to do.

Here you also can actually use real html and not that garbage ubb code. which is an utter joke.
