Changed sorting of thread replies

Thread replies are now sorted by date they were created descending, putting most recent replies at the top.

I just noticed this. I like it... So if there is a reply on one "branch" of a thread, that entire branch gets moved to the top? That's the way it seems to be working. If so, I think I like this.

I don't like this. I prefer to see the replies in the order in which they were posted. Reading top to bottom, I would see the replies in the order in which they were posted (oldest first). Within each reply, I would see the replies in the same order. What is nice about the oldest first sorting within a thread is that the order of the replies does not change as I read top to bottom. Sorting the newest to be first, moves everything down one whenever someone replies. I recall there being an option in the User CP to select the sorting. I guess this is gone.

Well, KAWF had it this way, so that's what we're trying to emulate. I realize it was optional in KAWF, maybe it can be made so today. I like seeing new replies on top.

That is even worse than I thought. So what you are saying is that when my reply to you is posted, it will move your reply above my reply, which is the most recent. Then I would need to search for the most recent reply inside this branch of the tree to find what is new. Sure it should be the replies at the end of the tree, but some threads have so many replies in a short period of time, that it will be difficult to track. I'd rather see oldest first and not have to think about which branches of the reply tree moved.
