Ever consider having a "vault" to store saved posts.
Maybe it's already possible or maybe it's been discussed before, but a really neat feature would be to select "save" on a post and have it automatically stored somewhere in the user's personal preferences.
I thought of this recently when I read a post that had some technical information that I wanted to save for a later time. I suppose I could hit "track" but then it always appears on the top of the screen. I suppose I could cut and past the URL somewhere, but it would be much easier to just hit a "save" button. Then it would be saved "out of mind, out of sight."

That is an interesting enhancement
You could always just track the thread, but then you have to deal with it being tracked all the time. Thanks for the idea, we're working on a number of other things right now, but we'll save this (no pun intended).

No, I'm talking about posts of personal interest.
I don't think everyone wants to see me save a technical post about motor oil that will come in handy in several months. The "vault" would function much like a picture poster where everyone is alotted a certain # of posts that they can store idefinitely for their personal use.

would act similar to the picture poster where every user is alloted a certain maximum # of posts that can be stored under their account.
Every now and then, I come accross a helpful post that I want to save, but I prefer not to track it every day. I just want to save it for some future time (many months ahead).

Well what if you are surfing the site on someone elses computer?
I wouldn't want people saving bookmarks on my computer. I don't think my roomates would want me saving a bunch of bookmarks on their computers either. And I certainly wouldn't expect them to stay. I like the idea of this feature. Hope to see it in the future.
