Hypertext links.....
Do I enter the command into the Optional Link URL space, or can it be embedded in the Message space.
Also, posting multiple images in various places throughout the text in the thread. Can they also be entered in the Message space or only the Optional Image Link

You use either one
If you use the Optional fields below the Message form, then you just put the URL and the text of the link. Don't use HTML there.
An alternative would be to embed HTML into your message. We support a variety of tags, including <a href=""> and <img src="">
