Default A little information, please.

Could anyone please point out where the TOU bans the mention of any other Audi info websites?

Thanks.

Better than that, IB is actually editing posts that link to quattroworlddotcom, changing the link to direct back here to AW.

What would you expect from a company that buys enthusiast websites strictly for profit? They don't care about serving the community, they just want to get every nickel they can out of AW...and I think they just realized that they completely polluted this pool when they pissed in it.

You could, through interpretation enforce it via the following section as it can be considered spam. Even with or without that in the therms, they own the server and the site and basically do what they want. As is true with any forum.

I'm not sure why so much energy is getting wasted on this sopic.

Without limiting the foregoing, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

* Strong, vulgar, obscene or otherwise harmful language,
* Racially, ethnically or otherwise, objectionable language,
* Harassing, intimidating, stalking or threatening other community members,
* Libelous, defamatory or otherwise tortuous language,
* Online vandalism,
* Impersonation of another person,
* Posting, distributing, transmitting or promoting illegal content,
* Invasion of another's privacy,
* Actions that are hurtful to minors,
* Posting, providing, transmitting or otherwise making available any materials or information infringing on the rights of a third party,
* Posting, providing, transmitting or otherwise making available any junk mail or spam, and
* Posting, uploading, emailing or otherwise transmitting any material that contains any malicious computer code, or reverse engineering or hacking any materials on the Site.

Once last thing, if this "new" site is so much better, why waste all this time worrying about what's going on here? Just a thought.

Hate to see you guys go, but with the behavior witnessed the last few days on this site have lost respect for a lot of people. Good luck.

I've had at least two of mine edited.

That's one of them...

Unsolicited commercial e-mail?

Making references to outside sites is hardly spam. In fact, it is a REGULAR occurrence. Only if you really twist yourself in a knot could it be considered spam.

Yes, the folks here can do whatever they want. But if I am not violating the TOU, then why on earth should anyone edit or delete the content of my posts? "Because they can" is a very weak reason. Almost no reason at all.

Don't shoot the messenger, you asked a question, I answered based on how things "could" be interpreted. Spam is not just email in case you weren't aware. I have no stake in this site so I could care less.

Maybe it's time to stop worrying about such trivial things and move on?

Why? Well, some of us might like to support both sites, but if this one is going to do childish things like changing the content of posts, then I may think twice about trusting AW.
