Missing graphics for old posts?

Missing graphics for old posts?
When I run a search that locates old posts, none of the pictures that were part of those old posts seem to be available. IE tries to download them for awhile and then gives up, and the "broken graphic" image placeholder is all I ever get.
Is there any way to solve this problem? Or are the links to the graphics permanently and uncorrectably pointing to the wrong place?
