Dude, I've been on this website for like 4 years, yada, yada...what I posted, with the exception of the retarded jab, has been posted here a thousand times before without a problem and I think you went TOO FAR in deleting my post.

I appreciate what we have here, I have for MANY YEARS.

I was concerned enough that last month I wrote a long post. My post was strongly worded and as a COURTESY I emailed it to JET before posting it but he didn't have the COURTESY to reply to me.

Neil, you're not just a mod, but an editor here and I hold you to a higher standard. Either have and enforce a consistent set of rules or have no rules but this haphazard, ***** nilly, undocumented enforcement is cr@p.




In a thread from the other day I posted:

Today I look at the thread and a second post of mine has been deleted:

The whole thing got out of control. You're over-reacting.

 

I may be over reacting now but I think the time has come for the mngmnt of this site do address the moderation issues making EVERYONE so unhappy.

I'm frustrated, fed up and generally pissed off.

I'm SICK of watching valued members of this community being chased off, suspended etc.

I'm not trying to attack you over this and appreciate that, at least, replied to me.

I'd at least appreciate if there could be an email notifying you that your post had been deleted and why.

The inconsistency of moderation here is simply STUNNING.
How many times has the STFU n00b pic been posted?
I told the guy to STFU because he basically said I was lying, I fail to see how that violates the TOU and if it does then at least delete EVERY STFU post.

The reason I've been away is due to personal family issues and other things beyond my control. The fact that I do or do not respond to your e-mail seems to be a bone of contention to you, but the fact is that I get 500+ e-mails per day so it is overwhelming to respond to everything in a timely manner.

So my response to you is to post within the ToU and there won't be any problems. If you see a post that violates the ToU then send a link to abuse@audiworld.com. End of story.

For some reason you seem to want to have a debate, but the fact remains that we are doing our best to be consistent and provide the best Audi resource out there. To take time to respond to every single users' grievances would make it impossible to even run the site at all.

We hear you - moderation is a problem. We also hear the hundreds of people - yes that's right I said hundreds - that have written in support of keeping things on AudiWorld clean and positive for new and old users alike. No matter how many times it's been done, or what the context, the STFU Noob thing can be taken negatively.

Try to look at it from the other side. If you ran the site then what would your policies be? It is damn difficult to find a happy medium, but that's what we try to do every day. In the big scheme of things do you feel like all the positive things that you've gained from AudiWorld are outweighed by a few deleted posts that clearly violate the ToU?
