Order of threads

Order of threads
Is there a downside to having discussion threads ordered by most recent post to the thread? That is, the thread with the most recent reply or the most recent initiation would be at the top, followed by the second most recent. Some things would fall down the list very quickly, reflecting less interest, while those with more general interest would stay near the top and would be more easily found.

Or you could track the thread you're interested in
And the same thing will happen. We've discussed "bump to top" thread ordering multiple times in the past. It will certainly not be the default way to order threads and won't be implemented for a while if I ever do implement it.
Thread tracking works similarly and should be good for you.
