I'm hardly a "PC fascist"
this is not a free speech issue. The forum has a TOU, which I thought (and think) the post violated. Apparently, part of the Audiworld perestroika is having a freer hand on OT, now than before. Fine. But it's hardly "fascist" for me to point out a post that I think is offensive and violates the TOU.
Frankly, I thought I was doing the responsible thing by posting about it here rather than starting a flamewar in OT.

Race issues are such a hot burning topic in North America (and in the US in particular) that to suggest that someone looked at that post and didn't notice the racial connotation is ludicrous.
Nothing illustrates my point better than the fact that "RACIST!" has become a favorite AWOT retort to any post that so much as brushes the subject of race.

You're attempting to ascribe to "racism" something that many others ascribe to reactions that are anything but racism.
In my case, it isn't "racist" to not want to be on the same aircraft with a likely-B.O.-enabled 3rd-World rural village.
I'd say the same about a picture of dirty hippy Liberals from Berkeley.

The question is not about your interpretation of the post, or whether you are a racist. The only question is whether the original post was meant in a racially offensive manner. I thought it was, and so did many others who responded, well before I did (i.e. "This is the most racist post I've ever seen on OT").
So, it's not just <i>my</i> view that is being attacked or represented here. Apparently *shock* you disagree. So what? You <i>already won</i> since JET already said the post will stay.
