Private Message Limit

I did 2 PM's back and forth with a user to discuss a similar issue we were having with our cars, and it seems after only 2 PM's we've reached the PM Box limit.

Could this limit be raised? I can't even get a message to him now until he deletes his PM's, and he probably doesn't realize that he needs to do that.

The recipient probably has approx 100 PMs sitting in their inbox.

No because it affected me as well. It said my PM Box was full in the top right when I only had one in inbox and two in sent items. I had to delete one for it to go away.

My limit is 100. Maybe the limit is set low for new comers to cut down on the possibility of abuse by spammers. Have you tried deleting the messages from your sent box?

Limiting the inbox of new accounts doesn't really do much to prevent spamming. If someone was going to spam, they're going to spam messages to users like yourself who do not have low limits and thus the message will go through.

Deleting messages in my inbox or sent box does not address the fact that the user I'm trying to communicate with has a Full inbox with only two messages, and I still can't send him a reply to his latest PM regardless of how much I delete on my own account.

I hit this last night discussing a sale. New member as of January 2020. I max out at 2 or 3 messages total between sent and inbox

Maybe a default got reset so a ridiculously low value accidentally?
