Question about posting copyrighted material

I understand that the posting of copyrighted material in the forums is normally prohibited.

However, I would like to post a diagram from the Audi factory service manual with proper copyright ownership attributed (actually edited into the image -- not posted as text below), and with markups (in red) diagramming a failure I recently had with my A4 for which I am seeking advice. It also shows the location of the 1.8T turbo bypass valve which seems to be a frequently asked question in the A4 and Performance forums.

Would this be acceptable, given that the copyright ownership IS properly attributed, even if I have not sought to obtain permission to reproduce the diagram? What if I obtained permission?
