Default Question about sig image placement?

I have a new sig, and it's a vertical image. I'd like to push it to the right, to be more centered under the thread text. I've seen others do it, so that's what prompted me to ask. What is the method for controlling placement and arrangement of information within the sig area, as I see some have placed quite a bit of info and multiple images in their sigs? Is this explained somewhere?
Thanks,
Loren in Denver

think you are going to have use HTML in the sig area to do that

Default Hmm, there is no one to do that right now

Ok, you can probably do it with non blocking spaces or something, but it would be immensely kludgy.

I guess I could add the
tag. Would that work for you?

That
tag doesn't appear to do anything? Just prints the visible word 'center'

Default Many HTML tags are not supported, it seems.

I've never had success with anything more than links, basic images, and fonts. If you use a tag such as
, it will simply print it. I've never even gotten "height=" and "width=" to work when posting an image. Probably I'm missing some trick.

Default And you were the one I figured would have the answer, Stoney. more...

When Bob posted my sig image as a photo in his message on the TT forum, the image appeared centered. I asked him what he did, and he said he simply linked the image, nothing else.
But, when I view his message as source code, that line appears this way:

<the picture id>

Is the centering feature built into the image url link code? And if so, why is
not recognized when we use it in the body of a post, or our sig?

Default That link doesn't work for me...

I haven't played extensively, nor am I an HTML expert. My attempts, as I said, at HTML layout options have failed.

One can try... below I'll use

I haven't tried this in a sig. I'm not sure if there is another way which the forum s/w would allow.

Default Try this klugy trick...

____________________ , shown below:

____________________

Hmmm... It worked. The font color white worked, and the underscores worked. But when I used dashes instead of underscores, there was a line break before the image. So the character used to offset is important. At least underscores will work.

Now, you say a friend posted it with a
tag, according to view: source. Well, I viewed the source of this message, and it showed my kluge, unaltered. So, perhaps we need to ask your friend how he made the
tag work, or we have to look at his message carefully. Can you post a working link to it?

Default This appears to work - so I went ahead and embedded it into my sig. Thanks, but I'm still unsure...

why the
html function doesn't. I fixed that link and you can view it for yourself. Hmmm?
