I understand you are working on a new system whereby only registered users will be able to post to the forums.

I assume that for those of us who wish to keep our e-mail addresses confidential, the new system will allow us to continue to post without listing or revealing our e-mail addresses.

Hopefully the new system will help to improve the signal to noise ratio of the posts without inhibiting or discouraging new users too much. It will be interesting to see how it turns out, but I think that overall, it will be an improvement.

Thanks again for all the hard work and for maintaining such a great site.

Email addresses are only used to verify real people

If you don't want people to see it, you don't have to. They'll see exactly the same amount of information they currently can see. Which is as little as a name which you can make up. We don't care about the name.
