Default So, what's the consensus?

Are we bailing and moving over to quattroworld, or are we sticking this new format out? I'm not a fan of the new look, but at the risk of being a follower, i want to see what everybody else's choice is and go with that...

I don't think it's a "we" call...I think they'll be folks who will stick it out, some who will migrate and some who will straddle both. I'm the latter of those options.

I think less than 24 hours is not enough time. If, after a couple of weeks, there are still issues, then I'll consider going elsewhere.

Pulling out of here after years spent of this site after only 24 hours of the new forum is lame.

I like the format of QW better.

I would prefer AW if it were easy to use, but vB makes it harder to use, and for no other reason than the overlords at IB wanted it that way.

OK, that's fine. If they don't want the click-throughs, that's fine by me.

The only thing that hurts my head is your signature. I could give a **** less which sports team you like or follow. That is taking up a full screen on my laptop. I want my two clicks of a mouse pad back.

If people learn how to use VB, then the system becomes more efficient.

Once people learn how to use the VB they will realize that it is a more efficient way of presenting data and helps in the learning process. The old folks were pretty pissed when Music records went out of buisness in favor of cassettes/CDs/MP3. Some old folk still have Records and swear by them and say that those damn CD's are complicated...(heaven forbit MP3 right) But that does not make the record better. They will argue that it was "easy" to use, and didnt "hurt" their heads to put the needle on the record they bought from the store. That is way easy compared to buying music off of I tunes, and then loading it onto the Ipod and searching through libraries of information right?

Just becuase you are used to it does not mean it is the best way. Stuborn people will be stuck in their ways, and unfortunatly the open minded people that do not mind thinking suffer. I will be forced to browse QW from time to time to see if I am missing anything new or important. From a technical standpoint, I see the future as being Motorgeek>Audiworld>Quattroworld>Vortex for the S4 guys.. Quattroworld will be more of the "what wheels look better" that Audiworld got a bad rep for.

I think it is funny how some forums could care less about the swap. The URQ guys are digging the new format and I doubt that QW will draw many of them away. There was only one that initially said it sucked, and when no one agreed, he was basically peer preasured into saying it was growing on him.

As always, this forum is a bunch of followers for the most part, and the big three contributers have moved. I anticipate the rest of the herd will follow "him" blind.

I do have empathy for the sell out of AW however. I wish they would have asked the users for more imput, and not put us in this position. It is not the end of the world though.

The bummer is that the lack of patience in people trying things new when the original wasn't broken in the first place is going to be low.

This new format will get better. It will.

If only the strong points of both could be merged, the compromise would be near perfect.

The sad thing is that those who HATE this new version will still stop by here. The addiction is stronger than the stubborness.

After getting used to Kawf, I like it. It is fairly no nonsense. Is it better than vB? I'm not sold on that either.

I just hope that this switch doesn't cause a big split between the two camps. That would suck.

AW in it's old form was a great community of enthusiasts that had a VERY positive impact on all of it's members. It would be a shame for something as small as this change to ruin it.

Personally, I will use both sites. I am not ready to yet dump on the new AW.

VB is a simple to use but less efficient interface preferred by new and casual users.

If you have a technical question that you think would be best answered by new and casual users, post it here.
