tire replacement

I had a tire blowout @36000 miles after numerous complaints to my audi service department of low tire pressure in my rear tires. Each time the service dept. said they checked for leaks but couldn't find any. I checked my tires every 2 weeks and repeatedly found one at 15 psi. When I called my local tire store I was told that it was necessary to replace all 4 tires at the same time. After complaining to audi service dept. they sold me a replacement tire at cost and said that it was not necessary to replace all tires at once. Is this correct or should I replace the other three tires also?
