Why do deleted posts show up in the search?

Johannes, here's an example....
Do a search in the S4 forum for "ecu weigh". The first result is a post that has been deleted. However, I just did a test in the feedback forum, and the test post that I deleted did not show up.

The search engine is updated nightly
You stumbled across a race condition.
What happened is the message got posted 2002-02-27 20:09:21, it got indexed that night while it was still active, and then it got deleted at 2002-02-28 11:35:23, which is today.
Tonight, when the search engine gets updated, it'll disappear from the search results.
As for your example, it won't show up because you deleted it before the search engine got updated tonight.
