Default Why vBulletin?

It is the most popular forum discussion software available on the Internet, and as it is owned by the owners of Audiworld it enables us to support, develop (and implement) a lot of cool new features for Audiworld.
Why do so many people mistakenly think most popular = best. If that were the case, American Idol would be the best television America has to offer & the Corolla would be the best vehicle on the planet.

What they're saying is "screw you" to the open source Kawf, which is what user's obviously like, and which made Audiworld successful. If they want new features, they should be contributing back to the Kawf project.

If Audiworld wants to ignore the wishes of the user community, take that as an invitation to go somewhere else. If they want to turn their backs on the developers who made them successful, **** 'em.

Default Versions...

I just noticed something amusing. vBulletin is up to 3.8.1. This forum is running 3.7.5. A random other site of theirs I checked (HighDefDigest) is on vBulletin 3.6.8. So much for code consolidation. I would think they would have at least deployed AudiWorld with the current version. Slackers.

I am really confused by all the hatred of the new format, am I the only person on here that really likes the change?
the old format was archaic and horribly limited.

I'm happy with the change.

Part of it is the general dislike of change. Part of it is that the Kawf format has distinct advantages when you're skimming the forums. Among other things. I also find the design cleaner & the ads were less in your face. (And the top half of my screen wasn't taken by menus, ads & headers that I have to scroll past to get tot he content.)

it makes it very difficult to follow the conversation.
Sometimes I like to skim the thread to see if the thread if worth opening.
Well guess what no more!

You have no idea what is being discussed unless you open the goaddamn thread! How cool is that???

I hardly have the time to keep up with discussions but now it's going to be impossible.
