This might be a dumb question but,
Is there a local place to get my 99 a4 chipped without having to lose my car for a day or two? I don't have the ability to send off my ecu either.

Ricing...er Racing Zone on 436 can do it. Just tell them you want the 93 oct
program. You can buy the rest through APR over the phone later. Basically they give you a code that unlocks the other programs such as 100oct, stock, and valet.

Search the FL forums, many have complained about Ricing Zone.
I've never delt with them, but others here have. We are doing a tech day with Suncoast Motorsports sometime in July, and they will be able to chip your car at the event.

Yeah, I've heard negative things about them. I suggest you...
Call APR and tell them you only want George at Classic working on your car. You've heard bad things about Racing Zone, who by the way is really based out of Tampa, and you will only buy their product if George does the flash/upgrade.
Seriously though, keep Mike and George at Classic in mind when it comes to getting stuff done, fixed, modded on your Audi.

My 2 cents about (Ricer Zone.) Granted I drive a Mercedes and costs for anything performance parts are all but cheap.. However these guys always quoted well over 20% higher then what EVERYONE else was charging, then they said they could install it for me but werent real familiar with Mercedes Benz.. hmm are they just admitting their being ignorant right up front, so I dont feel as bad when they nuke my car? (grrowl) Any how, if you have lots of money feel free to go there, however-i dont have your guys pocket books nor the time for some ignorant fool who is ricer specific to touch my car and things not work when I leave. Something about that bothers me
