when you are done with rims and they have road wear they are worth a lot less
p.s. i wish i got navi... but then again i like my rims...
sorry i was no help
(i bought a tripod to assure that)...
then in photoshop i made sure they were exactly on top of each other...
cropped the edges a little after i was positive it was perfectly positioned...
then i used adobe image ready (bundled with photoshop 7.0)
i created the animation...
i had the lights "fade" out by changing the opacity of the layer with the lights from 100% to 75% to 50% to 25% to 0% (lights off)...
i made the transitions .06 seconds which is what leads it to be smooth and not choppy
i made it hold lights on for 2 seconds, lights off for 2 seconds....
and i also had to end the animation by letting it go back up from 0 to 25 to 50 to 75 (and it automatically recycles... so lights on is back at the first frame)
once you get the hang of it its not to bad... i saw AndrewJM's signature and its the same concept so i borrowed his idea...
for about a week after figuring out the program i was going nuts making animations

like:
i took the standard logo pulled it away from the rim... added in the missing piece that was behind the rim in the pic... then made it fly through

and since im a big heat fan... this was an artists rendition of the scoreboard before the arena opened ... i just made the 2 pics transition the same way as the car lights

I'm familiar with the software, but didn't know a transition could look so natural. Really looks great!
Thanks again for the step-by-step.

only prob is usually during the day when my sig lags (on my end atleast) and then later it tends to be as smooth as it is supposed to be
could be a result of my crappy internet during busy portions of the day though...
another thing to remember you wanna keep file size as low as possible to assure less lag when its on the internet... even mine is too big lookup the user AndrewJM he has it also... i used his and added my fog lights
