Default Suspension question......

Currently running with the stock "Sport" suspension....looking to drop about 1in. in front/rear, and increase handling. Have been looking at the Eibach pro kit and Sportline kit. Would like coilovers, out of my pricerange right now. Any techs out there have other ideas?

http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/00108.5.835071565900019862</a

Default I have the Eibachs....love them.

Dropped nice and low, but still driveable. Price was good, and ride is great.

Default H&R cup kit, or the new Koni matched set with progressive springs and adjustable rebound. Eibac

I have the pro kit on my car (with Koni sports) and am fairly happy. However I just found out that their springs are not only linear rate, but SOFTER than OEM. They use the existing helper spring (cylindrical foam thing on top of the damper body) for their "progressive" spring rate.

For the street, the Eibachs are great, but if you are going to do any Auto-X I would go with a true progressive rate spring. If you want better performance but dont want to tinker with settings, go for a cup kit.

Default Not yet.

I got up under the car yesterday and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary at all.

The tires were under inflated (~30 lbs) so I topped them off, and haven't been able to reproduce the noise (at least that I could hear).

When I left, it was so bad that I could feel the problem through the stearing wheel-- now it seems fine :-/

The stress of the event did expose another problem-- I have a small oil leak in the plumbing of the oil cooler... Gonna take the car in and have both issues addressed.

Default We will be doing a group buy soon on H&R

or on Koni/Eibach combos. I can get u some prices on the cup kits or any of their other products, TEIN also makes lower priced suspensions for A4's

Default Guess I will wait out .....and save

What about the KW's or Bilstein?
My little brother put KW's on his 2002 330CI, ride was a little ruff but drove nice.
