Default Long Term Engine Storage

I'm buying an 87 5000CS with a spare engine. The engine has all of the hoses (cut) spark plugs manifolds etc. It's still on a pallet and in the condition in which it was shipped to the seller.

Could someone point me to some good information about mothballing this engine?

note; The engine is now in CO. I live in KY so the humidity is relatively high in the late summer.

I've had a 10vt in storage for essentially 3.5 years. Biggest thing you need to do is make sure you seal everything up very well. I used plastic wrap from the kitchen along with masking tape and rubber bands, then (gargbage) bagged it for a while. But, your engine is assembled, so you just need to close off all of the openings.
