An SL Engine?????
I was looking at the sticker in my truck that gives information about the color code of the vehicle and what not. I came across the engine code section and was wondering what the SL stood for??? All help is greatly appreciated.
The Car is a 1988 Audi 90 Non quattro 5 speed.

Are you sure that's not the trans code?
The engine should either be the 3A 2.0 4-cylinder, or the NG 2.3 5-cylinder. It's usually the first code, then a slash, then the trans. I can't find any SL code in my book, only an "SD", which is listed as an 83PS 1.9, in the 01-87 to 07-87 Audi 4000S.
