engine temperature sensor
all right, so i dropped it at HBL to get a few things taken care of- the brake light switch (*cough* thanks Roger*cough*
) and the rear left window's pinch control, along with why the seatbelt light wasn't coming on.Turns out when they were checking it over, the engine temp sensor was acting up. NOw, i never noticed any issue with the temp gauge on the instrument panel. So i wanted to ask all ye experts out here if that is indeed a sneaky little bastard or what other symptoms may have been.
luckily, Warranty Direct covered everything (except i guess the coolant and a c-clip that they needed to replace with all the work, so i'm still out of pocket $32... not much considering the bill was $600 and change, but still kinda odd that they wouldn't cover something that is part of the whole diagnostic and repair process, but anyways..), and i got the window, the brake light switch, and the temp sensor fixed. Apparently though, i also need a new instrument panel (which is being covered as well, but the part isn't in yet).
OY.
ehh.. like i said.. glad i ponied up the $2300 for the warranty. i'm sure at this rate it'll pay for itself. Its only been <6 months since factory warranty expired.
