2mod U not2mod
1) Convert to coilovers (mild track setup),
2) refurbish subframes and control arms, including Delrin CA bushings (have 'em already),
3) Install Supertrapp or similar silenced tip instead of rear muffler (have 2 1/2" tip already),
4) Look into Abt bodykit,
5) Roll rear fender lips (while in body shop) and install 1984 UrQ 15x8 rims and tires,
6) Convert to fuel cell so that race wheels fit in trunk (keeping remote fill),
7) Add rear strut bar (fits when fuel tank is removed),
8) Straighten rear bodywork (trunk won't latch),
9) Repaint rear bumper,
10) Add $10 pressure regulator to wastegate for more boost,
11) Momo wheel and shift **** (others decomposing as we speak)
12) Water temp, oil pressure and voltage gauges (has no temp gauge!!!)
Everything is planned except for # 9, and it is very unlikely that I will go anywhere with # 4. The hope is to have it done in time for the next track event in April. Further down the road an MC engine swap is planned (have engine already, but need it for now in other car), with 2-3 Torsen diffs, and glass front clip (fenders rotted and hood dented). I haven't solved the question of how best to install harnesses yet. Other future possibilities include fold down rear seat, Alcon 4-piston front calipers, UrS4 rear vented brakes, and an EGT gauge.
Thoughts?

p.s. I drove a new S4 for the first time the other day, and it only reaffirmed my interest in fixing up the UrQ.
The fuel cell and assorted mods are going to have to wait. For now the suspension and the rest of the work that is really necessary for the track in April is all I plan to do. After that I may start saving up for brakes, they will cost as much as the sum total of all of the work now planned. The car is a blast and I am anxious to get it running again.
