5000 quatro power steering
Appreciate the help I've been getting here and $$ I have saved. Posted this back aways but no one saw it. Can I rebuild my own power steering pump without special tools? Or is it dealer only? It was suggested as a cure for foaming in the resevoir.

Iffy proposition
The case sections get wavy and often don't seal very well when you put them back together, from what I have heard. It hurts the wallet, but I am in the market for a new pump as well. That liqiud platinum is just too dear to have leak out. (Yes, my 5KTQ is actually completely leak-free - at least when it comes to hydraulic fluid.)
