Another problem. Window switch
As I stated in another post, my drivers window switch konked out on my 84 5K. How would I get to it to fix it myself? It looks like I have to remove the gear selector plate. There are two screws on both sides of the plastic piece that goes around the gear selector and up over the radio. I assume that it will unsnap once the screws are removed. Will I have access to the switches after lower dash cover (or whatever you call it) is removed?
I would also like to replace the dash light behind the tach. How do I get to it?

I replaced the dash lights on my 87 500s. I had to pull off the steering wheel to pull out the display panel. Once you get that out, you should find two bulbs that illuminate the entire dash, As far as the windos switch is concerned, I would just pull off them screws and wee what happens, don't force it if it feels like it won;t move, there may be screws hidden elsewhere!
