Auto-check question

Auto-check question
The Auto check when I start my car does nothing now... no beep, no OK, nothing. When I hit the rod to run the Auto-check check, it works fine. What's going on?

Not sure...
my 84 did as you discribe and ran autocheck on start, my 87 didn't and if you wanted to run it you had to push the button. Maybe it was also broke. Never changed in the 8 years I drove the car though.
