I'm having the same problem-- new questions

My "high speed' fan is always on, from dead cold starts.
I know this because when I remove the high speed relay switch(#217) the fans stop.

Question is can a bad relay cause the fan to be on all the time or is it the
radiator fan switch or either one?
( BTW: where are they located?) I think there are two of them.

Sure, a relay could cause that....

...Is there another relay that you could swap to check?? You could also tap the relay to see if that will shut the fan off.

More often than not relays won't switch on. It's not as common for them to get stuck in the switched position...but still possible!!

UPDATE Found source of problem..Re: I'm having the same problem-- new questions

I unplugged the connection that leads to the "temperature switch" located on the lower left side (driver's side) of the radiator.
The fan does not come on. So it appears that I have a faulty/stuck on temp switch.
I not sure how these things work. Does anyone out there know? Can they be cleaned up to get working?

Also, when you remove it does all the coolant spill out or is it setup differently.
