Dumb Question...

does it matter how a transmission is sitting when its out of the car for a couple days, i have mine standing up with the part that goes into the engine on the floor, and a stupid neighbor came up and told me that doing that is bad. true?

Maybe?

Depends on where the oil and metal particles inside the transmission(automatic) or gearbox(5 speed) finally settle!

I doubt it'll hurt anything....

but, I always drain the oil and set it on the bench on its 'belly' when I work on mine.
