HELP!!! Hot start problems
It's scary because now I'm afraid to stop the engine at a gas station. Help. It's embarrassing too!
ISV defective(clean with carb cleaner)
bad fuel pump(is it noisey...unlikely the problem)
control plunger sticking in air distributor
fuel leak/lack of pressure(usual suspect)
bad fuel injectors(usual suspect)
idle speed off/idle switch defective(maybe?)
differential pressure regulator(probably not)
leak at air intake(maybe?)
airflow plate mispositioned(another maybe)
thats all I can think of right now...it's late!
most likely you have injectors that are leaking down/bad fuel pressure due to leaks or the airflow sensor plate is sticking...most of the other "problems" listed would effect cold starts and/or performance...but you have stated that it runs fine after cold starts and when it gets "going" hope this help a little...good luck.
