Help! Temp gauge acting strange on '97 Cabrio with 2.8
Look at the bend at the rear driver side. There is a temperature sender mounted in the pipe. You might want to make sure that connector is clean. Maybe shoot some WD40 on it.
The picture below might help. The fuzzy round thing in the center is the cooling pipe vent screw. The temperature sender is next to it on the outboard side (right in the picture). The top piece of plastic is off the engine for this picture. You don't need to remove it. This picture is looking back at the firewall. To the left is the back of the spark plug injector bank, right is the back end of the driver side valve cover.
