Default An intro and a question... :)

Popped in here last weekend in my quest for a second car... Great stuff... I'm so used to muddling through useless posts on other boards, it was almost culture shock reading through the archives here...

Anyway, I'm considering matt's '86 Quattro. I saw in a previous post someone was debating the bolt pattern on a VW vs. an Audi of the same year. I recently sold my GTI but kept my wheels and tires in hopes of getting another. It was my understanding that the '86 bolt pattern was the same between both makers... Am i correct in this?

as long as the Audi is 4x100 pattern, 35mm offset, they'll work fine.

Default If you're talking about Matt Daniels' car (more)

The bolt pattern will not work. Matt's 4000 quattro uses a 4x108 bolt pattern. Your GTI wheels use a 4x100 pattern. The only Audis I know of that use the 4x100 pattern are the 4000S (FWD) and some of the Coupe GTs. The later 80 and 90 may use 4x100, but I am not sure.
