ISV question
I have removed the ISV to clean and check it. It has a 1/16" gap on the intake when off the car.(ie. It never fully shuts off airflow). Is this normal or should the valve completely close off the inlet opening? The valve is functioning, I just don't know if it's functioning properly.

I never looked real close...
but fluid would just wash though it, so I think it's normal. I would stick a small screwdriver in there and push the plunger down making sure that it is free (keep in mind that there is a return spring on it). As far as the window regulator I got several from Shokan (1-800-all-audi), there were getting low on them though, and the last time wanted my old one back as a core, they were putting together good assemblies from thier collection of parts. When I got it from them I got the entire window regulator. The instructions in the Haynes manual were adequate, just be careful when you pull the window that you don't drop it (I always clean the grease off my hands before I lift the window out).
