looking for performance muffler... for 94' 90 CS....

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/19590/audi.1.jpg"></center><p>Let me start off that i had the Cat's removed..that helped alot..more air and more power in the powerband, but heard a metal rasping sound when OFT. thinkin if i have the middle mufflers removed that would make it a bit more deeper sound.( i had the side mufflers removed today),sounds kinda ricey and like the muffler is bad. (i didnt want my car to sound ricey)..didnt need the extra attention with low range to mid-range trottle on specially when the real german plate is on front with no Wa.st.plate is on in the front. so since i have those 2 removel of the Cats and Middle mufflers( shaved about 100lbs. off the car, not to bad) So after all that done, i believe my muffler is bad and sounds raspy and believe the baffle is bad in the muffler. So any good muffler's u guys can recommend to me? looking for a nice throaty sound thru out the power band... thanks...BMWSLYR

If you want to go the no money route...

do what my friend did and creat a exhaust leak from the exhaust manifold to the exhaust heh

very nice car btw, like the nick handle too =)

hmmmmm....any more idea's?

Do u know of any good mufflers that have a nice throaty sound? i believe my muffler would work just fine but the baffle is broken...thanks again

just get a power exhaust tip, or a MONZA pace setter big-bore, those give it a nice sound, i prefer the mufflers that give a small backfire sound when changing gears, dont know where to get one like that, that will fit a audi tho

Audi has new exhaust....

i just had a pro-flow performance muffler and DTM high polish tips put on 2 days ago...i noticed a more flowing of air through out the power band. also have my cats and middle mufflers off, that could be a reason.....but it was way to loud when WOT was applied...Real Loud..people where turning their heads. thank god i didnt get any tickets...knocking on wood.....the next day i had a 12" resonater put on and that really helped out alot..so i am pleased of the results..not bad for just $200.00 all together...will have pics for u all to see...BMWSLYR

Hey bimmerslayer

Where are you running around with no cats? Are you in a state where there are nmo emmisions control? If you are in a controlled state, do you pass emissions? How loud are you with a regular system and no cats?

i live in washington state. they have emmissions but i was told that the ECU will compusate for the cats being gone. i took off the cats but the sound i did not like..so i took off the 2 mufflers in the middle and that was real loud..too loud..like a weak motocycle..but loud and raspy. i then had installed a Pro-Flow muffler and DTM Tips(should have pic up tommorrow)but that was also real loud but with a Grumble, not bad but loud..then put on 12" resontater in where the 2 mufflers were to the down pipes and now i really like the sound..nice deep sounds..and since i took off the Cat's and mufflers(3) i can feel the extra power from being no restictions of air.
