Looking for replacement gearshift boot 89 100 Quattro
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced replacement "leather" gearshift boot for a 89 100 Quattro. I bet that it is a common problem as mine is severely torn up from 12 years of shifts. I have checked several sources, dealers want big dollars, and the only aftermarket one I have found was at audiquattroparts.com for $ 50.. and they weren't sure if it would fit. I even bought a piece of leather to fabricate a new one my self but getting the old one off and making it look good has become a more difficult task than I thought. . Any suggestions?

maybe try thepartsconnection.com or ClaireParts(sp?) which I think is in Boston(?)They are supposed to be good pricewise...also may want to try Force 5 Auto. They deal in alot of used Audi goods and may have a good one for ya. They are listed in the links page.HTH

I appreciate your ideas, and I will check out the sites, there doesn't seem to be any wreckers who have any, or a VW equilivent ...hope my last post didn't sound like I didn't appreciate your advice.
