Default Modifying A6-chip / suspension

Anyone added the Wett chip to a A6Quattro yet?? Anyone done ANY chip replacement for the A6 Q?
I'm also considering something to improve handling on the A6, too much roll. I'm not sure if I should change the front sway bar to a heavier one or replace all 4 springs (lowering 2"-perhaps too much !). Any comment on which one I should do that would not degrade the ride, preferrably from someone who did it to they're A6 Quattro.

Default Do what German tuners do...

change the suspensions (shocks and springs). I don't recall ever reading about tuners out of Germany (MTM, ABT, ...etc.) using sway bars as part of their tuning pkg.
Cris
Strange German psychosis : No sway bar tuning, bad (or none) cup holder, stingy horsepower / $

Default As for the cup holders....

I was told that it is illegal to be drinking (coffe, tea, whatever) while operating a vehicle on the Bahn. Kinda similar to some states here where using cell phones while driving is illegal.
IMO, that's great... How does one concentrate on the road or driving a car while drink out of a cup?
Cris
Default Check with Autobahn International. I think...

...that Eibach offers a spring kit, and they generally lower the car about 1" or so, and stiffen the ride only at compression, and are not harsh. Autobahn could recommend the proper shocks. Bilsteins would probably be pretty tight, and something like a Boge would be less aggressive, i think. The chips don't add a lot of power, but they supposedly smooth out the power band, according to those who have them. Good luck!
Charles

Default swaybars

Anti-roll bars make your cars independent suspension "less" independent by linking both sides. some handling benefit is there but nothing that cannot be acheived by proper shock/spring valving. Also, notice the proble neuspeed had with their "swaybars" cracking the subframe? Germans feel thicker anti-roll bars are better left to the racetrack and not for streetapplications.
Ned

Default What's more incredible is that I saw an ad for some minivan

the other night where they felt it important to tell you about the rear cupholders in the 30sec they had to tell you about their car. Anybody that would not buy German because of the lack of a cupholder doesn't deserve one anyway.
