SNOW!!!!!
Hey guys, Buffalo is officially closed. Horrible snow storm right now. 3 feet of snow outside. Zero visibilty, closed thruway. My 5KS? Works well in the snow though. Have to drive down to NYC tomorrow though. Any suggestions for harsh winter driving? This is the worst snowfall in Buffalo in 20 years.

You were warned about Buffalo....
it's a horrid place to be in the winter. Bet it makes you miss Louisiana(?) I also live in the "lake effect" snow belt so I understand how you feel...
Winter driving is all about taking your time. If you begin to slide out dont hit the brakes, continue to apply gas and correct the car via the steering wheel...alot of people tend to hit the brakes as soon as they begin sliding...wrong move. I suggest that you go find a nice snow filled parking lot tonight and practice driving...sounds dumb, but it will help you out later...
I think once you get out of the Buffalo/Rochester areas the snow should taper off...I saw on the weather channel that NYC was in the upper 40's the last couple of days, so there should be no snow down there...so that will be nice for you.

Ahh the lovely snow squalls of Western NY!
I know how you feel! I moved to Virginia from Rochester, of course being a holiday and the fact that I was picking my S4 up in Rochester, made for a good few days of vacation(seeing family, etc). Then came snow! It usually holds off until after Thanksgiving, but nooooooo not this time!
