Default The Space Opera continues

The USS Quattro orbited Texas World Speedway for the duration of the weekend. It was a highly eccentric orbit with 15 lobes and a gravity-like invisible force accelerating the Starship Quattro from one lobe to the next. There were many slow moving asteroids (M3 class 'oids) in the same orbit, but few ships in a faster orbit. The orbit was not kind to the little green martian in an F355 among others, and GTS1999 (the comet Viper) was always hidden out of sight behind the gravity well. Eventually the braking thrusters ran out of fuel and the USS Quattro was slung out of orbit to land in Dallas Sunday night.

There were a few strange aliens along the way to Dallas, but the Quattro Armada quickly dispatched them. JayP made a navigational error into an asteroid belt while following a TT class runabout, but he was able to regain course without sacrificing excessive momentum. After leaving the College Station solar system in the Galaxy of Texas, the Armada was able to maintain Warp 9.0 to 9.5 for most of the route to the Dallas system. The USS Quattro made a detour just before arriving in the Dallas system to refuel the braking thrusters and then proceeded to its dock on Richardson, one of the Dallas Moons.

Default Awesome dude! Send me some. :-) Hey! Check ou this pic!

Just to annoy everyone, I took a new picture after removing the rediculous graphics and pinstriping that were stuck onto the side. Should I debadge now? :-) BTW, I got this badboy to swing the backend out taking a corner the other day! I keep forgetting that I don't have quattro anymore. I got on the gas too hard in the rain, and away went the back end. It's been a long time since I've been able to do that, and it was actually kind of fun! :-) I do miss the 90Q, but the Xterra is fun too. Different kind of fun, but it's there.

Default My "Tonka Truck" is turning out to be pretty cool! I discovered...

...the other day that the seatbelts have height adjustment, and pretensioners. Actually, the real cool thing is that I can break traction now. Haven't been able to do that for years. When the road is wet, I can get the back to step out on corners. Weeeee!!! Gotta tell you though; as hard as it may be to believe, that thing's got great brakes! It even has a G-Sensor that adjusts the ABS according to what type of surface you are on. Damn, them Tonka Trucks are expensive these days though!

BTW, when I upgraded my system awhile back, I lost your E-Mail address. Could you use my publicly displayed E-Mail address and send me yours? Thanks!

Charles
