Strange problem..quick response appreciated..

A mechanic is looking over my possible 93 urS4 as we type....

During his "test drive", the brake light would come on at the top of the gear when he punched it. Any ideas what this may be? They say they don't have a clue, and would take "time", therefore meaning money.

Also, the "left rear upper link" needs to be replaced. What exactly is this??

so the car is at Auto Europe now ???

Allan and I talked last night, he was trying to bring the car down to AE then but couldn't get a ride back... He was going to call me when he was on his way so I could meet him at there...

Common problem, low fluid level...your tech is a moron

There is a low fluid sensor (magnet/reed) in the container, when it gets low it slops around. Same with the oil. ANY tech knows this. It is no big deal to replace the entire system regardless. The link is just a threaded rod, less than 5 min to replace. DIY

I would be far more concerned with the hydraulic bomb/pressure accumulator. I don't know if that model still had them. Also, the AC head unit fails in that model for very big bucks.

Yea, it is there. The guy also said described the front bumper as "having acne". Said there are hundreds of rock chips on it...

Also said one of the headlights has a crack/stone hole in it. The oil was one quart low, and needs to be changed. The exhaust also doesn't fit properly and needs to be fixed.
