WILL THE SAGA CONTINUE?
My 1984 Audi 5000 has been in the shop for a month now. I'm going to go check it out tomorrow. Last I heard they ordered a new rack and pinion and had it half way in. I'm getting fed up with the delays. If they can get it back in drivable condition I'm taking it to my regular Audi mechanic and make sure it is safe to drive.

Hi Ken,
I think you should take your car out of this shop ASAP...at least when it's driveable and head over to your regular Audi mechanic. Although the dealers are expensive, at least they are familiar with the car and can fix it. Good luck and please keep us posted!
